An Empty Room Transformation
An Empty Room
It’s one of our favorite types of project – an empty room to fill with a complete room transformation.
When we entered this space, we knew it had enormous potential. Look at that peaked ceiling, beautiful fireplace, and floor to ceiling windows!
The plan was to keep it bright, but to add depth and dimension with fabric and a new showstopping chandelier.
The pieces selected for this room were transitional in their design with a push towards modern. We love the blue, cream and teal color palette. It says, “come relax and enjoy your family room!” The goal was to mix patterns and textures within the blue color family.
Installation day was a full day for this room transformation complete with furniture delivery, art installation and accessory staging. Accessories curated by a design team really finish a space and give it that something special. Check out the process in the short video above.
Before and After
Before furniture was introduced, a few more “structural” things needed to be addressed. First and foremost the dated crystal chandelier was replaced with a beautiful modern orb pendant that really makes a statement.
We also added beautiful Hunter Douglas Silhouette window shadings. They provide great light control and privacy while also softening the window casings.
Finally, we added a gorgeous custom wood mantle that cleverly hides the wires from the mounted television.
We introduced a large and incredibly comfortable sectional with beautiful navy pillows. The bergere chairs were recovered in a lovely “Moroccan Til” strip fabric.
The boat print over the sectional is a bright pop of color and the scale works well for the large ceilings.
